When is the next AI filmmaking workshop in Kuwait?
The next cohort runs August 27 to 30, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM daily. It is four days, fully hands-on.
Where is the workshop held?
At Wafra Downtown Tower, Ahmed Al-Jaber St., Sharq, Kuwait City, Kuwait. The workshop is delivered in person, on site.
How much does the workshop cost?
The workshop costs 240 KWD. Payment is made securely online via Payzah, which accepts KNET, Visa, Mastercard, and Apple Pay.
How do I register for the workshop?

What you need
Do I need prior filmmaking or AI experience?
No. No prior filmmaking or AI experience is required. You need a laptop and curiosity — everything else is taught hands-on from day one.
What do I need to bring?
A laptop. The workshop is fully hands-on, so you work on your own machine throughout the four days.
What language is the workshop taught in?
The workshop is delivered in Arabic and English.
What you'll learn
What will I learn at the AI filmmaking workshop?
AI video generation from prompt to screen, image-to-video workflows, and post-production for AI-generated content. The four days build toward a finished AI film.
Which AI tools does the workshop cover?
Current AI video and image generation tools, including models such as Sora, Runway, Veo, Kling, and Midjourney, alongside the post-production workflow that ties them together. The specific tools are refreshed each cohort as the models change.

What is SHIFT Ai?
SHIFT Ai is Kuwait's first AI filmmaking studio, founded by Abdulrahman Al-Khamis. It produces AI-generated films and commercial video, and runs hands-on AI filmmaking workshops culminating in the SHIFT Ai Film Festival.
Who teaches the workshop?
Abdulrahman Al-Khamis, founder and creative director of SHIFT Ai. He is a Kuwaiti film director who has trained more than 800 creators across 15+ workshops, and has worked with stc Kuwait, KNPC, KFH Academy, AlQabas, K-Net, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Information.
What is the SHIFT Ai Film Festival?
The SHIFT Ai Film Festival is the screening night that closes each workshop cycle, giving every cohort a screen to premiere their films on. It has run for more than 15 editions.
Do you offer AI filmmaking training for companies and teams?
Yes. SHIFT Ai has trained teams at companies, ministries, and media organisations in Kuwait including stc Kuwait, KNPC, KFH Academy, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Information. For corporate training, email admin@shiftkw.com.
Certificate & changes
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. Participants receive a training certificate from DACUM for Consulting & Training (ديكم للاستشارات والتدريب), a Kuwaiti training and consulting firm, on completing the four days of the workshop.
What if I need to cancel or cannot attend?
Get in touch as early as you can. If there is still plenty of time before the cohort starts, a refund may be possible; otherwise your seat is usually moved to the next cohort. Email admin@shiftkw.com or message +965 9933 3272 on WhatsApp to arrange it.
