SHIFT Ai is Kuwait's first AI filmmaking studio, founded by Abdulrahman Al-Khamis. The SHIFT Ai Film Festival is the cinema night that closes every workshop cycle — the screen where each cohort premieres the AI films they made. It has now run for more than 15 editions.
It is a Kuwaiti film festival for AI-generated films, run by SHIFT Ai. Every edition closes a cycle of the AI Filmmaking Workshop: over four days each cohort takes an idea from prompt to finished film, and the festival is where those films get a real cinema screen and an audience.
Editions have been held independently and in partnership with stc Kuwait, and the festival has been covered by Al-Qabas TV and KTV.
By joining the AI Filmmaking Workshop. There is no separate submission process — every cohort makes films across the four days and premieres them at the festival that closes the cycle. The next cohort runs August 27–30, 2026 in Sharq, Kuwait.
